The University of Technology Sydney will redesign the Ultimo precinct via a partnership with the foundational partner in the form of PowerhousePowerhouse. These institutions will work in tandem for the development of ecology in the industry, using which there would be the expansion of the overall profile involving Australian fashion at domestic as well as international levels.

While the Powerhouse ultimo creative industries would house to provide an immersive educational platform using which they would be able to connect local, regional players as well as the industry leaders.

These integrative opportunities would be extended towards providing internship work for students and, in addition, providing work experience-related experience for students. Moreover, the first nations would play a key collaborative role in establishing joint programs in future, such as UTD Indigenous Residential College and the integration of UTS Galuea Experience into broad-level First Nations Programming at the Powerhouse Ultimo.

According to UTS Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Andrew Parfitt, this partnership would be fruitful for students and industry as a whole as it would ensure that students gain relevant experience. Conversely, the industry would gain skilful employees as a part of their workforce.
