UNSW Researcher Wins NSW Premier Prize for Public Sector Service

Professor David Eldridge from UNSW Sydney has been recognised for their work in providing insights based on public service systems. For the most part, Prof Eldridge has been rewarded for recognition for work with respect to semi-arid ecosystems and how they are effective and thus ensure proper human intervention on a timely basis.
Besides it focuses on the influences related to feral-based species like rabbits and horses on native landscapes. Prof Edridge is honoured to receive such a prestigious award. Moreover, he is among the 10 individuals who were awarded as a part of the 2022 Premier Prize for the field of Science and Engineering.
In addition, UNSW Dean of Science Prof Rogge congratulated Prof David for this achievement.
According to the statement by Prof Rogge “In many ways, David is the archetypal ecologist: pragmatic, creative, collaborative and deeply in touch with the land on which he works. His research of natural landscapes and the ways in which they adapt to human encroachment has for many years been integral in guiding land-use practices. Congratulations, Professor Eldridge – we are truly lucky to have you.”
