UNSW, in collaboration with the La Persoure Aboriginal community, are providing training related to the Aboriginal language. This community partnership will ensure the revitalisation of the Dharwad language. The Gujaga Foundation, in partnership with the UNSW, will utilise archive-based resources to ensure the proper form of training is received by the students. In addition, the elders from the Dharwal community will also provide relevant assistance for training related to language.
According to Mr Ray, chairperson of Gujaga Foundation, this discourse would be helpful to provide relevant training to the students about the culture of the aboriginal community, and they would understand the significance of the overall culture of Australia.
When the Dharwal country had their presence from Sydney Harbour to the La Perouse Aboriginal community, besides, the community had their settlements in 1883 with the assistance of the Australian Aboriginal Protection board. Also, revitalising dharwal language training would mean that the community receives an appropriate form of training. In addition, the Aboriginal language has strong linguistic challenges that would prove to be a promising challenge for the students that would play a beneficial role in enhancing their intellectual abilities.
