Good Design Awards

The UNSW’s learning business Mentem has won the Australian Good Design awards along with their partner Department of Regional NSW and McKinsey and Company. The group won the Best in Class Award for Service Design in the public sector category. They received the award for the development and design of the Digital Skills Program as a part of their buildup for the NSW future-ready workforce.

Moreover, gaps were found in the foundational based digital skills which were present among its remote workforce. Because of this, there were constraints present in the overall digital transformation, thus affecting the connectivity of the staff and reducing productivity.

Nevertheless, DRNSW provided a solution with the digital program that was present in their remote workforce. For the most part, their solutions played a beneficial role with the assistance of developed technologies. As a result, a template was designed by the relative collaborative force to upscale the program to enhance overall digital literacy.

Meanwhile, the Australian Good Design award is one of the oldest design awards in the world for providing excellence in innovation since 1958. The jury of the award took a brief study and analysis of various designs and selected the winner on the basis of their contribution towards providing good quality on economical, social and environmental fronts.
