University of Adelaide student wins the 2022 Agricultural Student of the Year Award.
James Easter, a student from the University of Adelaide, has won the prestigious Agricultural Student of Year Award 2022 at the gala ceremony that was held at the Parliament House in Canberra. James is currently in his third year pursuing a bachelor's degree in the field of Agricultural Sciences.
James is incredibly passionate about the field of agricultural sciences. Moreover, he is also the president of the Adelaide University Agricultural Student Association. Furthermore, he leads a team of students for various events related to networking and mentorship. Besides, he has also worked with the Agricultural Institute of Australia on the development of the 2022 Student compendium, which is a compilation of more than 100 internships as well as scholarships. He also has broad experience in the field of soil sciences Australian Soil Judging competition.
According to professor Jason Able, Interim head of the University School of Agriculture, "James' undergraduate record speaks for itself - he has excelled in his coursework, winning several outstanding academic achievement awards during his studies,"
Meanwhile, Agrifutures Australia sponsors the Award for Agricultural Student of the Year awards which is basically a part of the Farmer of the year awards.
