Though educational institutions are limited in their ability to welcome international students due to the limited number of planes available to return them to Australia.
Some Australian universities also provide students with financial incentives to pay the increased costs of viral testing and quarantine.
Mike Ferguson, the director of the global student recruiting at the University of Canberra, said his university was paying arriving students $1500 to help cover fees.
