The Australian University Sector has introduced new measures in the wake of a sudden spike in covid cases in China. Accordingly, Chinese students and travellers are required to present a negative Covid 19 Report within 48 Hours of their departure. The Universities Australia Chief Executive Catriona Jackson has called these actions by Australian universities a sensible measure to deal with the covid situation. Meanwhile, China is regarded as one of the largest markets for International students in Australia. In fact, it contributes to around 40% of International students.

Furthermore, education is the largest service export in Australian education. Besides, it contributes over $40 billion to the country’s exports, and it supports more than 1,00,000 Jobs as a whole. Moreover, the decision to education improvement comes after the US government had announced a similar notification for Chinese students and travellers.
