With the appointment of University of South Australia professor Saravana Kumar, it could be expected that newer and more efficient models of health care would be implemented. Furthermore, SA Health and Unisa (University of South Australia) will jointly conduct funding for the role of Prof Kumar. Furthermore, the focus would mostly be on ensuring that the critical health needs of individuals in Southern Australia are adequately met.
For the most part it focuses on ensuring that the critical health needs of the state are adequately met thus ensuring the ease of strains on different hospitals and ensuring older people are provided with adequate healthcare facilities.
In the meantime, Prof Kumar already has a distinguished history of providing quality healthcare facilities using evidence-based practices across a range of different disciplines. Moreover, he has collaborated with the industry on an extensive basis with industry as well as with practitioners outside the field of healthcare.
