Dr Shae Brown, a professor from Southern Cross University, has been awarded the Spirit of St. Gregory Vickers awards for her project that focuses on complexities that revolve around education. This International Society of System Sciences (ISSS) recognises about how her doctoral project contributes to various complexities involving education and also the interdisciplinary nature of her project.
Speaking on receiving the award, she said it is an honour for her to receive the prestigious award from ISSS. Her research project focuses on the complexities that are present with indigenous knowledge. Moreover, this knowledge is on a high-priority list of the capacities that are required for students as they engage in the emerging future. Her research project titled ' Complexity Pattering: A language and Strategy for the teaching and learning of complexity competence' focuses on these capabilities.
The ISSS is one of the oldest institutions that focuses on the studies involving developments and applications of the systems related to systems sciences, cybernetics and complexities involving sciences. Dr Brown has presented the award at the 60th ISSS conference project, where her doctoral project was presented.
According to ISSS, her project was well ahead of time, and elements such as participative communication would play an essential component in socialisation. In the meantime, Dr Shae brown is currently writing articles from her thesis. She has been invited to participate in the Laszlo Institute of New Paradigm Research 2023 Symposium Italy for her new paradigm education. She hopes to provide a transformational change in the educational system through her works.
