RMIT University and CSRIO have signed an MoU with the Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR) with the objective to develop environment-friendly industrial processes, green mineralogy, green energy innovations, and hydrogen energy production. Calum Drummond AO, research vice-president and deputy vice-chancellor at RMIT University, said this partnership will bring more solutions for a more sustainable world. He also said that “The research projects in this program have the potential to have a huge impact across regional communities, including a study into Arsenic detection and verification for drinking water in Bangladesh and understanding the Arsenic mobility mechanism in Bangladesh groundwater”. This partnership was praised in an existing join research program in an existing joint research program in south-east Asia that has already seen RMIT partner with the Academy of Scientific and innovative research.
