MQ University to set up a world-class orthopedic centre

The MQ Health centre will develop a world-class orthopedic centre in Sydney that will be supported by leading orthopedic surgeons at Medibank. Moreover, the centre would be located on a dedicated floor at Macquarie University Hospital. Specifically, the centre would include a state-of-the-art operating theatre with 29 beds and a supporting surgical model. The centre would also receive an investment of $29.6 million, with Medibank contribution of around $14.8 million.
According to the Medibank group executive CEO of Health Services, Dr Andrew Wilson, the centre would be used to Expand Medibank's no gap program, which would be utilised to provide customers with choice and ensure that they value health care.
The medical centre would be available to all patients irrespective of their health funds and finances. According to the Ceo of Medibank, Dr Wilson, the centre would be expanded, thus providing customers with to select the different procedures involving their health care. Moreover, the centre is expected to open in late 2023 and is expected to deal with large amounts of patients in their respective localities.
