Monash University Researchers granted $2.5 million for research.

Seven researchers from Monash Univerisity have been awarded more than $2.5 million in research grants. The main purpose of these grants is the development of partnerships between different professionals from research and relevant industries. The grant received by these researchers would be utilised in several research projects ranging in Science, Engineering and Information technology.

Moreover, the purpose of these grants is to promote various research partnerships between different stakeholders of the industry. Therefore when they would work together in tandem, it would ensure revolutionary development. According to the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Monash University, Prof. Brown, these research grants showcase the achievement and excellence of students from various disciplines.

Among the various funded projects, there is an irrigation project which is utilising a UAV satellite to map the overall performance of the soil. Besides, it utilises remote sensing technology to determine different parameters of soil, such as water level. Using this technology is expected to ensure the improvement of overall food production.

In the same way, there is a project by Dr Kirsten Ellis which focuses on providing education related to STEM subjects to individuals who have intellectual disabilities. Furthermore, this project also aims to provide employment and other professional opportunities for different individuals. In summary, it is expected that these research projects will have a revolutionary impact on the lives of several individuals and well different industries.
