Researchers from Monash University have found a strong correlation between maternal health of the mother and the development of kidney disease in adult life. Furthermore, it was found that some children were born with a sort of double protection apparatus while other children have some sort of poor kidney health.

Moreover, the study was done in collaboration with the Jikey University School of Medicine in Tokyo, and the findings of the research were also published in the Kidney international journal as well. Specifically, it is well known that a higher number of presence of podocytes would lead to better health of kidneys overall.

According to the Lead researcher from Monash University, Prof Bertram, it was found that the number of glomeruli among adults ranged from 200000 to 2 million on case to case basis. However, there is still a lot of research work to be done with respect to Protocolyte Count. In the meantime, it can be concluded that mothers who maintain a healthy lifestyle and abstain for alcohol are able to reduce the risk associated with kidney diseases.
