The innovation accelerator program developed on the medihood project's learnings is being expanded based on the learnings from Western Health and the University of Melbourne. Specifically, their purpose is to reduce the overall effect of Covid 19 in hospitals. The Innovation action plan that is present in regional Victoria is now being expanded in order to find solutions with regard to various unmet requirements of health care. Ben Carrol, the minister for industries Support and recovery, had announced this collaboration.
Moreover, there is an immediate requirement for these types of technologies that assist the remote monitoring features at home as well as in health care. This multi-partnership acceleration program is expected to provide dividends in providing assistive health care to various remote communities.
Besides, the medihood project was developed between Western Health care and University Mechanical engineering head Jason Monty during the start of covid 19 pandemic. Using this project, it is expected to bring ready-to-use technology that would play an essential role in providing and promoting of quality healthcare techniques as a whole. Meanwhile, the funding for this whole project is supported by the Victorian Government via the Australian Meditech Manufacturing Centre.
