The University of Queensland has become the latest victim of cyber security attacks. Accordingly, the university management has raised an emergency that has affected the overall workings. Specifically, it was found that several printers around the university began printing suspicious messages in large amounts. Moreover, the students are specifically instructed not to use the university printers until future notice.

According to University records, as of 2021, the University has more than 53000 students who are facilitated by around 5000 staff. As per the University statement, it has been mentioned that the IT systems will become online till further investigations. In the current stage, it has been found that no critical data about the student or staff was compromised. Students have been informed about the emergency protocols initiated in the wake of the situation. Likewise, the aspirants for university admission are recommended to contact the University when systems are completely online. As of now, the relevant agencies are working to deal with this situation.
