Regular Cardio Exercise to reduce PTSD

A research study led by UNSW Psychology has found that even 10-minute high-intensity aerobic exercise has a positive impact on treating PTSD-related symptoms. Moreover, these aerobic exercises are expected to develop molecules that provide a feeling of sense of security in the individual's brain.

While Professor Richard Bryant led the clinical research that led between 2012 to 2018, accordingly to Professor Bryant, the primary purpose of this research is to ensure that this exposure therapy of rapid cardio would be effective in the treatment of Ptsd and other similar medical ailments.

However, this is the first time that a direct correlation has been developed between Ptsd and aerobic exercise. Nevertheless, there is still a lot of research work in order to come to relevant conclusions. In the meantime, there is a large-scale trial being conducted in Melbourne, which is being led by Professor Bryant and his peers.
